Our passport package did not arrive today. It should have been sent overnight on Monday. Well it may have not actually gone into the system until Tuesday, which means we may not get it until Tomorrow as the USPS says “usually 1 day” and small towns may be out of the “usually” category . I guess it could still be here in Berne today, but the mail has already come. Hmmm… If I don’t see it tomorrow I will need to contact the Australian Embassy. Update: It came.

Nothing in the mail today. USPS Express Mail can be considered 1 or 2 day especially when it comes to getting it to a small town. So I guess we will find out tomorrow. Perhaps we will know lots tomorrow between Shay and the Visa. All in His timing.

I received an email today that our passports were being sent back to us from the Australian Embassy.  It offered no detail as to whether our Visa’s were approved or not. They just were verifying our address to send since we are traveling away from home right now.  So tomorrow we will find out if our Visas have been approved or not, or if they are returning our passports while they are taking more time on deciding on our Visas. Oh the anticipation.  More tomorrow.

An article about us was published in the Friday edition of the Berne Tri-Weekly News. Unfortunately the article is not online. However it mostly was about who we are and where we hope to go. It doesn’t contain our full passion of why we want to go to Australia, but it does contain some of why we want to go. Pick one up if you are in the area. I bought a couple to show our friends back in Florida and eventually in Australia. If you read the article and you came to this site to check us out leave a comment on this post.

Our completed Visa application was sent today to the Australian Consulate today! We received our last (delayed) police clearance letter and we sent it off. Now we pray and wait as they process the paperwork. We could hear as early as 3 weeks.

I added more specific About pages about our Story / Testimonies and My Tech History. Check out the links under Pages on the right.

We’ll add other historical info pages in the future there too.

This is great.  Our sponsorship letter is approved for our Visa for moving to Australia.  This is wonderful.  This means that the Australian Government recognizes that the position we will be filling in Australia requires someone with Religious Training / Skills.  Now we are cleared to lodge our Visa Application so that Australia can evaluate whether we are qualified to fill the position.

Now for the bad news.  We assembled our Visa Application to be submitted and when I opened the envelopes containing our clearance letters from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, I found that they were not completed.  The checks I sent in where not cashed because I accidently put 2006 on the date line instead of 2007. They returned it for us to put a proper date on the check.

This seems very silly as the amount for the check was the 2007 amount instead of the 2006.  It should have been obvious that it was an oversight of the year change.  It is not like the date was in the future.  Oh well.  All things are in God’s hands.  We are going to Priority Mail/Express mail a corrected request and provide them the return postage prepaid envelope to do the same.

Please pray that we would be able to submit a complete application next Friday.
